I have been involved in the IT industry since the introduction of DOS. I recently completed the Advanced Communication Design Diploma at North Island College. The three year program is “a strong combination of design and programming abilities, graduates can adapt rapidly to the changing industry and are qualified to manage a high level of client communication needs — whether in print, online, or both.” It includes the complete course curriculum from both Graphic design and Web Development diploma programs. Covering extensively Adobe CS5 which includes PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, DreamWeaver, Fireworks and Flash. From the web developer side it covered HTML, CSS, JQuery, CMS and PHP.
